9:00-9:30 AM, the Chinese-speaking driver/guide will pick up guests from the hotel or airport and head to the World Natural Heritage site - Cairns Kuranda Rainforest.

Upon arrival, guests will take the 7.5km Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to view the magnificent landscape of the rainforest, Barron Gorge, and waterfalls. The guide will meet guests at the Kuranda Village terminal station.

After the cable car tour, guests will walk through the ancient and mysterious Kuranda Village, browse local markets, and visit the fun flea markets and commercial streets.

Lunch can be enjoyed as a sumptuous buffet at the Rainforestation Nature Park (optional). After lunch, guests will head to the Rainforestation Nature Park.

At the entrance of the rainforest park, you can choose the koala photo opportunity (optional). Led by the guide, you will listen to authentic didgeridoo performances and enjoy spectacular Aboriginal and Islander dances here.

In the 'Traditional Camp,' you will personally experience traditional boomerang and spear throwing and ride an Army Duck left over from WWII. Led by a witty and humorous guide, you will venture deep into the rainforest to see ancient and rare flora and fauna.

In the afternoon, guests can return to the city with the guide in the vehicle, or choose the scenic train (optional) to return to the city through the rainforest, where the guide will meet guests at the terminal station.

After the tour, guests will be dropped off at their hotel or the airport.

The highly acclaimed Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is a must-do when visiting Cairns.

Inclusions: Chinese-speaking driver/guide, hotel or airport transfers, air-conditioned tour vehicle, Skyrail Cableway (optional), Rainforestation Nature Park (including Army Duck, Aboriginal Cultural Park + Aboriginal dance).

Exclusions: Guide gratuity (AUD $5 per person per day); meals and attractions not mentioned or specified as self-funded.

Tour duration: 9:00-9:30 AM: Guide picks up guests from the hotel or airport; around 17:30 PM: Return to city hotel or drop off at the airport.

Special notes:

** Child age: 4-14. If participating on the day of arrival, you must take a flight arriving before 9:30 AM.

** If guests are departing from Cairns by flight on the day the tour ends, they must book a flight departing after 18:00. If choosing the train option at your own expense, you must book a flight after 19:00.


Reminders

  • A minimum of 4 traveler(s) are required for the tour to depart. If the number of participants does not reach the minimum requirement, the tour will be canceled. An email regarding tour cancellation will be sent 1 day(s) before the departure date

  • In the event of inclement weather such as typhoons or snowstorms, a decision on whether to cancel the tour will be made 1 day(s) before departure (local time 17:00). Notifications will then be sent via email

  • Please arrive at the designated location 5 minute(s) before the scheduled departure time, as the tour will depart on time

  • Meals are not included for children under the age of 4

  • Admission tickets will not be included for travelers under the age of 4 and are required to be purchased on-site

  • From August 19 to October 25, 2026, due to station maintenance, the cable car experience will change from the original one-way journey to Kuranda to a round-trip experience starting and ending at Kuranda Station. The round-trip experience lasts approximately 45 minutes, including a 10-minute stop at Barron Falls Station.

  • Cable car closure (maintenance) dates (cable car itineraries cannot be arranged on these dates; please do not select packages including the cable car): July: 20th-31st; August: 1st-18th, 24th, 25th, 31st; September: 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th; October: 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th; December: 8th, 25th.
