The driver's English was fluent, and he was very familiar with the routes, offering many suggestions for us to choose from. He was very attentive and considerate in every detail along the way, making the entire trip very pleasant. It was the best experience we've had with a private car hire in Japan. I was traveling alone, taking the first bus from Takayama Bus Terminal on the Nohi Bus. If you're taking the bus, remember to arrive at the bus terminal early; on a good day, there will be many tourists. If there are too many passengers at the terminal, another bus will run. You might have to take the next one. The bus ride takes about 1.5 hours. Since it's a bus trip, you need to buy two tickets. The first is a fairly standard cable car ride, and the second is a double-decker cable car that goes over a crane and sways back and forth, which is quite thrilling. Once you reach the summit, you can see the entire mountain range, which is very refreshing. Because it was mid-to-late May, there was still some snow, and even the nearby trails had snow to walk on. You can explore the nearby trails, but just be careful to make sure the cable car departure times match the bus departure times.

Before the trip, they created a group chat to confirm the details, including the type of car seat the child needed. The driver not only spoke Chinese but also drove very smoothly, and the child slept soundly the whole time.

This two-day tour of Tateyama Kurobe was a fantastic experience and highly recommended! Although the tour was guided in Japanese, I was initially a little worried about language barriers, but it didn't affect the tour at all. The itinerary was excellent, and transportation was extremely smooth, with seamless transfers between cable cars and buses. The guide was incredibly kind and helpful, using expressive body language, thoughtful time reminders, and smiles to take care of everyone, making us feel completely at ease. The sights were unforgettable! Witnessing the magnificent snow walls and Kurobe Reservoir firsthand is still deeply etched in my memory. Language was no barrier; the beautiful scenery and excellent service were the main attractions. Highly recommended!
