I made a reservation in advance for the car ferry that runs between Takamatsu Port and Tonosho Port on Shodoshima Island. On the day of boarding, I presented my voucher and vehicle registration certificate at the counter to exchange it for a ticket. The process was smooth. If you have passengers, you will need to make a separate reservation for them. If you are renting a car and are unsure of the appropriate vehicle classification, it seems possible to pay the difference locally. As of November 2025, local counters only accept cash payments, so I think it's a benefit to prepaying through kkday to have the option of paying by credit card or other means.

The Kankakei Ropeway offers expansive views, with the valley scenery unfolding layer by layer along the way, especially breathtaking during the autumn foliage season. The ride is smooth and easy for both seniors and children, making it the most effortless and cost-effective sightseeing option on Shodoshima Island.

The boat arrived at 10 o'clock, and the bus was already waiting at the meeting point. We reported our information at the counter next to us and exchanged it for a ticket. Then we could get a name tag from the tour guide and get on the bus. The tour guide explained every attraction and story in detail. At the end of the trip, he even sang a Japanese folk song for us. The trip time was just right. There was still 30 minutes of shopping time before boarding the boat. Showing the ticket allowed us to get a discount at the souvenir center next to the boat.
