Tour guide Wang was very empathetic and responsible, and the driver was equally polite and friendly. Traffic from Munich to Neuschwanstein Castle is complex, but this day trip is highly recommended. It saves time and provides a wealth of local tourist information. Since we only had coins and bills before getting off the bus, we didn't tip the driver or tour guide Wang. I'll definitely tip next time if I get the chance. (Tipping is completely stress-free; it's optional.) Thank you to the tour guide and driver for enriching our trip.
Tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle were sold out, so I opted for a tour. It was a Sunday during the tourist season, so the crowds were staggering. There was a long line from the bus stop to the bridge where you can see Neuschwanstein Castle, and it took over 30 minutes to reach the bridge. Despite the crowds, the guide organized the tour well, making the tour quite smooth. The guide spoke in English, but his pronunciation was easy to understand. The bus also had a system where you could hear the guide in Japanese, which was helpful as he explained key points. I paid 37 euros for the entrance fee by card, but the ticket itself was actually 29 euros. It felt a bit strange. There was a restroom on the bus. Drinks were also available for 2 euros. It was a day that allowed me to reflect on whether Ludwig II had a happy life.
Although it was drizzling when we first arrived in Salzburg, the sun 🌞 was very kind and gradually smiled at us as we strolled around. After we climbed up the fortress, we could see the whole picture of Salzburg city, and we also took many beautiful photos while touring the lake.
