What a fantastic experience! Although it was a cloudy day, it snowed the whole time, and there was already a lot of snow. It was super cold, but we had a lot of fun! The pizza at the restaurant next to the snow park was also better than we expected—it was delicious!
I redeemed the JR Tokyo Wide Pass directly at Narita Airport this time. The process was smooth and the instructions were clear, which was a big plus as I didn't have to go to a counter in the city. For someone who had just landed and still had luggage, less travel meant less expense, so the overall first impression was that it was "friendly to beginners." 🧳🗺️ In actual use, the biggest advantage is the wide range of routes covered. Places near Tokyo like Karuizawa, Kawaguchiko, and Nikko can all be covered in one trip. 🚄 As long as the itinerary is planned in advance, taking JR trains for long distances over several consecutive days quickly recoups the cost, making it very cost-effective. Seating arrangements and transfers were also smooth, requiring minimal planning. 📍 Overall, this pass is suitable for "itinerary-oriented" travelers. Those who plan their routes in advance and focus on key destinations will benefit the most. It's not for impromptu, random travel, but as long as the direction is clear, transportation costs can be kept very low. 💡
First time of skiing which is nice and a wonderful experience as there has beautiful view, nice restaurant, comprehensive services. Definitely would recommend for the other travellers who are still considering or interested.
Buy your tickets directly from KK, then exchange them at the cable car ticket counter (opens at 8:30 AM). After exchanging your tickets, go to the service center next door to exchange your equipment. Upon entering, fill out the form with your equipment size information, then give the form and ticket to the staff. Helmets are available for separate rental (¥1000). Once everything is changed, you can start skiing! 😆 No need to lug your equipment from the hotel to the ski resort, which is really convenient. After skiing, simply return your equipment, change back into your clothes, and you can easily return to your hotel or go to Echigo-Yuzawa Station for food and shopping. Superb! 👍
Nice coaches, comfortable seats with free WiFi. Bags are quickly loaded & off loaded by friendly staffs. Very pleasant on time journey. Well recommended
