How to order & receive THSR tickets
- Order for THSR tickets
- Passengers can book tickets for trains departing within the next 29 days (including the day of departure), up until 1 hour before the departure time. Additionally, on Fridays and Saturdays, tickets can be booked up to four weeks in advance, including Sundays. If there are any adjustments due to special circumstances, THSR will make a separate announcement.
- Seating on the THSR is assigned through a computer system, the seats or specify the carriage can't be choose by passengers. It is also not guaranteed that seats will be available to sit together.
- Please read the privacy statement of the THSR Tour-Plus for more information. By completing the booking for the THSR Tour-Plus,indicate that you have read and agreed to the terms of the privacy statement.
- Download the Taiwan High-Speed Rail T Express Mobile Ticketing Service app for iOS version 9.0 and above / Android version 6.0 and above.
- Collecting High-Speed Rail Tickets
- Please bring your High-Speed Rail booking reference number and the identification number used by the ticket holder at the time of booking to the High-Speed Rail station ticket counter, automated ticket machines, convenience stores (an additional handling fee of 10 NTD per ticket, 20 NTD for round-trip tickets), or the High-Speed Rail T-EX mobile ticketing app for ticket collection.

※ Note 2: For tickets obtained through the T-EX App for this package, changes or refunds must be processed at the High-Speed Rail station ticket counter. - Tour-plus ( High-Speed Rail joint tickets) are offered at a discounted price and can only be used on the designated day and schedule. Is not lost supplement, please safekeeping. (If the original High-Speed Rail schedule is missed due to unforeseen circumstances, passengers can take other available trains on the same day with non-reserved seats.)
- When passengers see a green arrow indicator light on the gate, it indicates a passage that can be used; a red 'X' indicates a passage that cannot be used.
- Follow the instructions displayed on the gate to insert the ticket or the QR code of the convenience store ticket, and the ticket inspection will be completed for easy passage.

How to Cancel High-Speed Rail Tickets
If the high-speed rail ticket has not been redeemed yet, you can request a cancellation via the “Orders” section on the KKday website/app. The cancellation policy is as follows:
- a. If you cancel more than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the selected train, a handling fee of 0% of the ticket price will be charged.
- b. If you cancel within 30 minutes of the scheduled departure time of the selected train, a handling fee of 100% of the ticket price will be charged.
How to Cancel Redeemed High-Speed Rail Tickets
If you wish to cancel a high-speed rail ticket after it has been redeemed, please follow these guidelines:
- a. Take your ticket to any high-speed rail station or a convenience store with multimedia equipment where you originally collected the ticket. A refund handling fee of NT$20 per ticket will be charged.
- b. For tickets collected via the High-Speed Rail T-EX app, changes or cancellations must be processed at a high-speed rail station ticket window, and you must present a valid ID representing the ticket holder.
- c. If you are unable to process the cancellation before the deadline due to illness or injury, please bring the original ticket and medical certificate to the station to apply for a refund. After confirming that the ticket has not been used, 80% of the ticket price will be refunded, minus a handling fee of NT$20.
Typhoon-Related Refund Policy
From the issuance of a marine typhoon warning until the cancellation of the marine typhoon warning, travelers who purchased high-speed rail tickets during the affected period must retrieve their tickets by the day after the selected travel date. Within one year from the travel date, you can apply for a refund at any high-speed rail station with unused tickets, and no handling fee will be charged.
Changes or cancellations for redeemed physical high-speed rail tickets, unless otherwise specified, will be handled according to the relevant provisions of the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Company Passenger Transportation Contract Regulations.
How to Cancel Add-on Items
To cancel any add-on item, you must first cancel the high-speed rail ticket. After canceling your ticket, you can then contact KKday customer service to apply for the cancellation of the add-on items.
High-Speed Rail Ticket(s) & Add-on Item Usage Date Change
High-Speed Rail Ticket Change
- The departure time and date of the high-speed rail tickets cannot be changed online. If changes are needed, please cancel your order and book again.
- You can visit any major high-speed rail station's ticket counter for assistance. Please consult station staff at a physical counter at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time on the specified travel date. Only a one-time train change on the same day is allowed per ticket. (This does not apply to tickets for specific trains purchased under the Late Bird Discount Plan.)
- Changes to tickets for specific trains purchased under the Late Bird Discount Plan are limited to one change to another applicable train or seat on the same day. If you wish to change the date, travel route, class of service, or passenger identity, or if the change does not meet the "applicable specific train" criteria, the original discount will no longer apply. For any ticket changes or cancellations, please follow the ticket status guidelines mentioned above.
- Late Bird Discount tickets are only valid for the specified date and train listed on the ticket. If you choose to take a different train than the one indicated on the Late Bird Discount ticket, you will lose the original discount. If you are found to have switched trains without proactively purchasing a new ticket, you will be required to pay the full fare difference, along with a 50% penalty fee on the fare difference for the traveled route.
Cancellation of Add-on Items
The usage date for add-on items cannot be changed online. If changes are needed, you may cancel the order and book again.
