Product Info

  • The Tenryu River Japanese Boat Tour takes you on a 6 km journey from River Port Benten to River Port Tokimata in about 40 minutes. Meet at River Port Tokimata. After check-in, take a shuttle bus to the boarding area at River Port Benten. The boatman will introduce you to the Japanese boat experience, including the history of river transport, shipbuilding techniques, and boat handling skills. Listen to safety instructions, including how to use the automatic inflatable life jacket and other precautions, then put on your life jacket and board the boat. Enjoy the autumn colors of the Garyukyo Gorge, a prefectural park, and be prepared to lift the vinyl sheet to block splashes when passing through rapids. After experiencing the Tenryu River Japanese Boat Tour, which boasts one of the longest histories and traditions in Japan, go cycling to the scenic Tenryukyo Gorge, a famous tourist spot in Iida City. The course is flat and includes a guide! Even if you have not ridden a bicycle in a while, you can participate with peace of mind! This plan allows you to fully enjoy the autumn of Minamishinshu, including the autumn-colored Tenryukyo Gorge.
