Day 1: Pokhara – Nayapul – Ulleri – Ghorepani
(Approx. 3 hrs drive, 5 hrs trek)
Your journey begins with a picturesque drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, passing rivers, farmland, and scattered rural settlements. From Nayapul, the trek gradually follows the Modi Khola valley before ascending toward Ulleri, known for its long stone staircases. As you continue higher, dense rhododendron and oak forests surround the trail, especially vibrant during spring bloom. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in the mountain village of Ghorepani (2,840m), where traditional teahouses provide warm hospitality and a comfortable overnight stay amid cool mountain air.
Day 2: Ghorepani – Poon Hill – Hile – Nayapul – Pokhara
(Approx. 5 hrs trek, 3 hrs drive)
Before sunrise, hike uphill to Poon Hill (3,210m), the highlight of the trek. From the viewpoint, witness a spectacular Himalayan panorama as the first rays of sunlight paint the snow-covered peaks in shades of gold and pink. After enjoying the scenery and capturing memorable photographs, descend back to Ghorepani for breakfast. The return trail leads downhill through forests and hillside villages toward Hile and Nayapul. From there, a scenic drive takes you back to Lakeside, Pokhara, concluding a refreshing and fulfilling Himalayan adventure.
