Located in a remote and little-visited area, La Leona Petrified Forest is home to fossilized trees estimated to be over 70 million years old. As you walk among these massive petrified trunks and discover fossilized remains scattered across the terrain, you’ll gain a fascinating insight into Patagonia’s prehistoric past. Your expert guide will share geological and paleontological explanations that bring this ancient ecosystem to life.

The experience includes a demanding trek across uneven terrain and natural formations shaped by wind and time. This challenging walk rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views, unique rock formations, and exceptional photo opportunities in a landscape unlike any other in the region. Due to the physical nature of the activity, a strong fitness level is required.
