Bonaire: Hidden Water Cave Tour｜Netherlands

Discover a hidden side of Bonaire on a guided Cave Snorkel Tour led by professional, certified guides. Explore the island’s unique underground world while learning about its geology, cave formations and fascinating ecosystems.

The experience begins with a guided walk to the cave entrance, where your guide will explain more about the surrounding landscape and how Bonaire’s caves were formed. From the entrance, you will descend safely using ropes, with assistance from your guides throughout the descent.

Once inside the wet cave, you will receive snorkeling equipment and a professional underwater light before entering the clear underground pools. Your guide will take you through the cave step by step, with a short breathing and preparation session before exploring the different chambers. You will learn how to move safely through the cave, navigate the underwater passages and discover the unique geology and ecology found beneath Bonaire’s surface.

The adventure continues into a deeper chamber, where conditions allow, with the option to experience a short 10 to 15 second underwater passage as part of the freediving experience. Your guide will explain how to approach this safely, and participation is always optional. If conditions prevent the freediving or deeper chamber portion of the experience from taking place, a full refund will be provided for the affected booking.

After exploring the wet cave, you will make your way back outside before continuing into a dry cave. Here, your guide will dive deeper into the formation of Bonaire’s limestone landscape and the unique ecosystem that exists underground.

This experience combines adventure, education and exploration, giving you a completely different perspective of Bonaire. No previous caving or freediving experience is required. Our guides are there to provide instruction, assistance and guidance throughout the entire experience.
