Day 1: Ulaanbaatar – Khugnu Khan Mountain
Visit Khugnu Khan Mountain, known for its stunning landscapes of rugged peaks, lush valleys, and diverse flora. Ride a horse in Khugnu Tarna National Park, home to various wildlife species, including deer and numerous birds.
Visit the Erdene Khamba Monastery, one of the oldest in Mongolia. Return to Ulaanbaatar in the afternoon and stay in a guesthouse with separate clean rooms for men and women.
Semi-Gobi Desert
Begin your adventure with a pickup from Ulaanbaatar and travel to Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of the Great Mongolian Empire in the 13th century. Located on the right bank of the Orkhon River, 80 km southwest of the Semi-Gobi, Kharkhorin is steeped in history.
Drive through the Mongolian steppe to the Semi-Gobi Desert, a unique landscape of arid desert surrounded by green mountains. Meet a local family and learn about their traditional nomadic lifestyle. Immerse yourself in desert life with a camel ride through the arid landscapes, admiring the dunes and mountains of Mongolia.
Day 2: Kharkhorin
Explore the Erdene Zuu Monastery, a focal point in the history and culture of the Mongolian people. Visit the Kharkhorin Museum and the ruins of the ancient city. Spend the night in a yurt at a camp with showers and electricity. Enjoy conversations with fellow travelers from around the world.
In the evening, enjoy an unofficial program with a nomad family. Experience the simplicity of life without showers or electricity, surrounded by nature and the nomadic lifestyle.
Day 3: Khushuu Tsaidam - Ulaanbaatar
The Orkhon Inscriptions
The site is most famous for housing the Orkhon Inscriptions, which are massive stone steles dating back to the 8th century (around 732–735 AD) during the Second Turkic Khaganate (Göktürk Empire).
The Bilge Khan Monument: Dedicated to Bilge Khan, the last great ruler of the Turkic Empire.
The Kul Tigin Monument: Dedicated to his younger brother, Kul Tigin, who was a legendary military general and prince. It stands roughly 1 km away from Bilge Khan's monument.
Day 4: Chinggis Khan Statue Complex and Terelj National Park
Drive to the Chinggis Khan Statue Complex, a striking sight towering over the Mongolian steppe. Ascend the 40-meter-tall statue of the legendary warrior via a serpentine walkway, passing through a museum chronicling Genghis Khan's life and legacy.
Before entering the national park, enjoy a Mongolian lunch in a ger/yurt. Visit Terelj National Park, a sanctuary of towering mountains, verdant forests, and crystal-clear rivers. Explore the Aryabal Temple, a Buddhist sanctuary located on a picturesque hillside in the park. Return to Ulaanbaatar in the afternoon.
