I. Event Introduction
The 'Auspicious Realm' Thangka Art Exhibition by Zhaxi Langdeng and Duojie Caidan brings not just artworks, but a heartfelt blessing that has traveled across mountains and seas from Regong, Qinghai.
In the world of Thangka, the intricate lines, vibrant colors, and rich imagery embody people's wishes for life: may body and mind be at peace, and family be safe; may the mind be clear, and wisdom grow; may we treat others with compassion, and enjoy prosperity and fulfillment. Each piece carries blessings for both the present and the future.
Regong art was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009, with Thangka painting being a vital component. Therefore, this exhibition is also an opportunity to get closer to a living cultural tradition: to witness an artistic language that is continuously cherished, practiced, and passed down.
This September and October, we cordially invite you to visit PMQ to send a blessing of peace, wisdom, and auspiciousness to yourself, your family, and your friends.
