When conditions are unsuitable for telescope viewing, the experience continues with our customised immersive Virtual Reality journey through the Tekapo night sky. Featuring stunning 360° imagery, interactive visuals and expert storytelling, this unique experience allows guests to explore constellations, galaxies and celestial wonders from a perspective that goes beyond what can be seen through a telescope alone.

Complete your Lake Tekapo stargazing experience with exclusive access to one of Tekapo Springs’ iconic hot pools. Relax beneath the stars in soothing thermal waters while floating hammocks and gentle music create the sensation of drifting through the cosmos.
