Day 1: Perito Moreno Glacier with Guide

Depart from El Calafate in the morning and travel by bus to Los Glaciares National Park. Watch as the landscape changes dramatically along the way, starting in the Patagonian steppe and then entering forests of lenga, coihue, and ñire trees.

Once inside the park, reach the panoramic walkways facing the Perito Moreno Glacier. Explore different balconies, including a main upper balcony with sweeping views and a lower balcony closer to the glacier’s front wall.

Learn about the history, geology, and behavior of the glacier from your bilingual guide. Enjoy free time to walk the circuits at your own pace and take photos.

Optionally, take a 1-hour boat trip to see the glacier from the water, either from the north or south face depending on availability. There is a restaurant and snack bar inside the park where you can have lunch or take a break.

Day 2: “Todo Glaciares” Full Glacier Navigation

Embark on a full-day boat excursion on Lake Argentino. Sail through the lake’s northern arm and enter the Upsala Channel, where you get views of the impressive Upsala Glacier from the water.

Continue into the Spegazzini Channel, home to several hanging glaciers (such as Heim Sur and Peineta) and the towering Spegazzini Glacier, one of the tallest in the park.

Throughout the navigation, pass by floating icebergs and ice blocks of different shapes and colors—an iconic sight of the region. Disembark at Bahía de los Glaciares to walk a short forest trail (around 300 meters) leading to natural viewpoints overlooking the glaciers.

A guide accompanies the experience, explaining the geology, the ice formations, and the surrounding landscape. The excursion operates from Punta Bandera port, about 50 km from El Calafate.
