Set out on a guided hike along Denali’s newest trail, the Tsenesdghaas Na’, and immerse yourself in the wild beauty of Alaska’s Nenana River corridor. Start from the wayside and follow a well-maintained gravel path through dense boreal forest, with your guide sharing stories about the landscape, local wildlife, and the region’s cultural heritage.

The first section of the trail is wide and accessible, leading you to a breathtaking overlook above the Nenana River canyon—an ideal spot for photography and a moment of quiet reflection.

As the trail narrows and the terrain becomes more adventurous, wind deeper into the landscape, passing through stands of spruce and alder. The path features steeper grades and uneven surfaces, rewarding your efforts with ever-changing vistas of the river below. Along the way, your guide will point out unique geological features, native plants, and signs of wildlife such as moose or eagles.

The hike culminates on a high bluff where the Nenana and Yanert Rivers meet, offering sweeping views of the wild Alaskan landscape—a perfect finale for nature lovers and photographers alike. After soaking in the scenery and snapping a few final photos, return along the same trail, finishing back at the wayside, where you can pose with the iconic Denali National Park sign for a memorable keepsake.
