Your worries will melt away as you relax in the soothing waters of Chena Hot Springs. On this rejuvenating day trip from Fairbanks, enjoy a day of relaxation while discovering one of Alaska’s most unique destinations.

Chena Hot Springs is more than just a hot springs resort. It is home to Alaska’s first low-temperature binary geothermal power plant and serves as a leader in alternative energy innovation. Learn how the resort harnesses geothermal energy while enjoying the peaceful surroundings and restorative hot springs.

Your adventure begins around 11:00 AM with pickup in Fairbanks. First, visit the famous Aurora Ice Museum, featuring hand-carved ice sculptures, an ice bar, and chandeliers crafted entirely from ice. Enjoy a guided tour before continuing to Chena Hot Springs Resort. Upon arrival, take part in a guided tour highlighting the resort’s geothermal energy projects and sustainable initiatives.

Afterward, unwind in the natural hot springs and enjoy several hours of relaxation. If you get hungry, food and beverages are available for purchase at the resort’s restaurant.

The scenic drive back to Fairbanks offers additional opportunities to enjoy Alaska’s wilderness, and moose are frequently spotted along the route. Return to Fairbanks at approximately 6:30 PM.
