Product Info

This special 2-day journey takes you to Izumo during the annual Kamiari Festival, one of Japan's most sacred religious events. According to Japanese tradition, millions of deities from across the country gather at Izumo Taisha for one week each year, making it one of the most spiritually significant times to visit.
The tour includes an extended stay at Izumo Taisha, where you'll have the rare opportunity to visit Kamimiya Shrine, a sacred site open to worshippers only during the seven days of the Kamiari Festival. Before arrival, your experienced tour escort will introduce the history, traditions, and proper way to worship so you can fully appreciate this unique experience.
You'll also visit Inasa no Hama, where the deities are believed to arrive, and Yaegaki Shrine, renowned for its matchmaking blessings and the popular Mirror Pond fortune-telling ritual.
Relax with an overnight stay at the highly rated Kaike Tsuruya hot spring ryokan overlooking Mt. Daisen and the Sea of Japan. Unwind in the spacious indoor and open-air hot spring baths and enjoy a beautifully prepared kaiseki dinner featuring seasonal San'in delicacies, including whole snow crab, fresh seafood from Sakai Port, local beef hot pot, tempura, and other regional specialties.
The journey also includes free time at the lively Nakaura Seafood Market, a walk along the charming Mizuki Shigeru Road, and shopping for local confectioneries at Kotobukijo Sweets Castle, making this a perfect combination of spiritual discovery, local culture, delicious cuisine, and hot spring relaxation.
