-What you can expect-
Meet your guide at Venice Beach, one of the most famous and lively beaches in California and take part in a 2-hour group surfing lesson. The class is ideal for everyone from beginners (even first timers!) to upper-intermediate levels.

The lesson will start by getting geared up with wetsuits and surfboards. Head down to the sand with your group of fellow students (the ratio is 4-6 participants per instructor, up to 10-12 participants total per group). Spend the first 30-40 minutes training on the beach and learning all the important aspects of surfing. Your professional certified instructors will teach you how to pop up on the board, educate you about the ocean and end the land lesson with the most important part - safety.

After that, enjoy 60 minutes with an instructor in the ocean getting coaching and helpful pushes. The remaining time will be yours to practice your skills and have fun in the water. After the class, an instructor will lead you to an outdoor public shower where you will be able to rinse off. Don't worry about your belongings, as you will be able to leave everything locked in the surf school van.

  • Please refer to your voucher for final information regarding meeting points, pick-up locations, and pick-up time

  • Meeting point description: Please meet at the parking lot south of Venice Fishing pier. Go to the left end of the parking lot and look for the white Ford E-250 van.(10 Washington Blvd, Venice 90291)

  • Basic swimming skills are required in order to participate in this experience

  • Belongings will be safely secure in the locked surf school van

  • This tour is not available for children under the age of 12

  • Please note that if weather conditions are not suitable, the event may be canceled. In this case, you'll be offered a different date/time slot or a full refund
