-What you can expect-
During your tour, you will head toward the countryside north of Amsterdam to arrive at the edge of the river Zaan, where you will visit de Zaanse Schans, a windmill village characterised by green wooden houses. At the turn of the 18th century, this district was an industrial area with approximately 700 working windmills; however, there are only five left today.

You will stop in Volendam to enjoy a short walking tour with the guide and hop on the boat to cross the lake. You will also visit the traditional fisherman’s village of Marken, situated on the shores of the former Zuiderzee. Furthermore, your tour includes a demonstration in a cheese factory and a clogmaking demonstration.

Upgrade your experience to the "Full Tour" to discover even more with a syrup waffle demonstration, take a scenic cruise along Marken Lake, and visit an operational windmill.

You can also choose "+ Edam Tour", a different and more comprehensive experience. It includes a visit to the historic village of Edam, which is not part of the Volendam and Marken tour from Amsterdam itinerary. This tour also includes a clog-making demonstration as a standard part of the experience, and a more scenic boat trip between Marken and Volendam if you choose the 'All-inclusive' option.
