By joining this Reykjavik beer and booze tour, you will be guided by an expert local who knows how to entertain as well as educate you about the fun history of beer and alcohol in Iceland. Did you know beer was banned in Iceland for 74 years?

At the start of your tour, you will be able to choose between tasting nine unique Icelandic craft beers. Those who are not into beer will not be left out, and have the option to try some delicious Icelandic gin, vodka, or a few variations of the national drink, Brennivín. If none of those take your fancy, then a glass of wine can certainly be ordered at each place (but it will not be Icelandic, of course, as there are not a lot of grapes that grow over there).

This tour is guaranteed to leave you with a warm buzz, and with Iceland's high alcohol prices, you can be sure to sample the best Icelandic craft beers or spirits during your stay in the country.

Facing the square (Ingólfstorg) and the two tall stone pillars, you'll see the Center Hotel Plaza on your right. The meeting place features benches, tables, and a covered area. The guides usually wear a light blue jacket with 'Your Friend in Reykjavik' written on the back.(Hlöllabátar, Ingólfstorgi, Reykjavík, Iceland)

  • Infants or children cannot participate in this tour as it is illegal in Iceland to have a person younger than 20 years of age inside a bar

  • There is a short walk between each venue, please dress appropriately for the weather

  • The tour may be cancelled or rescheduled if the min group size (2 people) is not met
