Choose your starting point according to your itinerary:
From Bali: Departure at 5:45 AM from Seminyak or 7:00 AM from Ubud, followed by a ferry crossing to reach Java.
From Surabaya: Departure before 6:00 PM (from the airport, train station, or your hotel in Surabaya).
From Malang: Departure before 3:00 PM (from the airport, train station, or your hotel in Malang).
From Yogyakarta: Take the 7:00 AM train to Probolinggo.
You’ll be transferred to the Bromo region. Before dawn, hike up the slopes of Mount Bromo to witness the sunrise over the caldera – a legendary volcanic panorama. Then, walk along the rim of the active crater, immersed in an otherworldly and mystical atmosphere.
Next, travel east to the Kawah Ijen region. After enjoying a local dinner and resting in a comfortable room, you’ll begin a nighttime ascent of Kawah Ijen. Descend into the crater in the dark to witness the mesmerizing blue flames and the incredible effort of the sulfur porters.
At sunrise, you'll discover the world’s largest acidic lake – a stunning turquoise surface set against the dark volcanic walls. A truly unforgettable moment.
This all-inclusive journey covers transportation, two nights of accommodation, meals, national park entrance fees, professional guides, and all necessary equipment. All you have to do is enjoy your unique volcanic experience to the fullest.

What You Can Expect
1 Day
- Day 1 – Departure from Bali to Bromo Your adventure starts early in the morning with pick-up by car or minibus from South Bali: 5:45 AM from Seminyak or 7:00 AM from Ubud or 7:30 AM from Mengwi (also possible from Munduk, Pemuteran, or Gilimanuk). For participants already in Java, pick-up is at Probolinggo station at 3:30 PM. After several hours of travel, you will cross the Bali Strait by ferry to reach Java. Soon after, a local-flavored lunch will be served – your first culinary discovery of the region. By late afternoon, you will arrive at the village of Cemoro Lawang Bromo, located at 2300 meters above sea level. A simple and rustic local guesthouse awaits you, along with a local dinner, ideal for resting and preparing for the morning ascent of Bromo the next day.
2 Day
- Day 2 – Sunrise at Bromo then Road to Kawah Ijen After an early wake-up call around 3:30 AM, you'll head off in a 4x4 jeep for the ascent of Mount Bromo (active volcano, 2300 m). You’ll begin by hiking a narrow, winding path leading to 250 steps up to the volcano's summit. At the top, witness the breathtaking view of the smoking crater, as the first light of day appears – a magical and unforgettable moment. The sunrise over the Bromo crater, surrounded by the Batok (extinct, 2400 m) and Semeru (active and erupting, 3677 m – the highest volcano in Java), is a stunning sight. After the sunrise, you'll cross the "Sea of Sand", a landscape made of dust and volcanic ash from recent eruptions. Then, you'll head to Seruni viewpoint, a calm and preserved site offering panoramic views of the Tengger volcanic massif. After a well-deserved breakfast, your journey continues through picturesque villages and diverse plantations (coffee, tobacco, rice, etc.) toward Kawah Ijen, with a local lunch served along the way. You’ll stay in a comfortable guesthouse near the volcano, where a traditional Javanese dinner awaits to conclude your eventful day.
3 Day
- Day 3 – Night Climb to Kawah Ijen and Return to Bali Departure is set for 1:00 AM to reach the base camp at 1900 meters. After receiving safety instructions and essential gear (lamps, gas masks, etc.), you begin a 1.5-hour hike guided by our professional and experienced team, along a scenic mountain path under a starlit sky, reaching Kawah Ijen’s summit at 2300 meters. The most spectacular part begins here. In total darkness, you descend into the active crater to witness a unique phenomenon: the blue flames (visibility can vary depending on volcanic activity and weather conditions). Our guides, former miners and sulfur porters, assist you safely during the descent. Attentive and caring, they ensure your safety throughout the volcanic experience. At sunrise, discover the world’s largest acid lake – a striking and unforgettable moment. As you admire the turquoise lake, you’ll witness the courage of sulfur workers carrying heavy loads up the crater walls. After returning to base camp and your guesthouse, enjoy a homemade breakfast prepared by a local Javanese family and a well-earned shower before heading back to Bali. After the ferry crossing, free drop-off in Pemuteran +/- 1:00 pm, Munduk +/- 3:00 pm, drop-off point “Canggu - Mengwi - Ubud” (Indomaret Mengwitani, this point serves as a drop-off location for guests heading to Canggu, Mengwi, and Ubud) +/- 5:00 pm, and finally Seminyak +/- 7:00 pm.
