Product Info

  • Kamakura is a popular tourist destination for both Japanese people and foreigners. It is a land where much of Japanese culture remains alongside nature. It is also the birthplace of the Kamakura Shogunate, a samurai government. Located just a short walk from JR Kita-Kamakura Station, Kigen-in Temple is normally off-limits to the general public, and the SAMURAI Project allows you to experience Japanese culture. The experience includes: ・Kimono with hakama (or yukata in some cases) ・Zazen (Zentai) experience ・Practice kata with a wooden sword ・Slashing experience with a real sword ・Social gathering in an 80-year-old teahouse
  • [Private Event] Engakuji Kigenin Temple, a temple off-limits to tourists
  • Kamakura is the birthplace of Zen in Japan. This program will take place at Kigen-in Temple, part of Engaku-ji Temple, one of the Five Mountains of Kamakura, which is off-limits to tourists. The time you spend in the beautiful Japanese gardens, the main hall of the temple, and the teahouse, surrounded by abundant nature, will be a special experience.
  • A special experience that Japanese people have never had before
  • We offer experiences that are carefully selected based on the location, people, and things you can enjoy. Kimono, zazen (Zazen meditation), and Iaijutsu (Iai practice) will be special experiences that will stay in your memory. In addition, we may take photos and videos using professional photographers and provide them to you.
  • [Social Contribution] Participating in and supporting social businesses
  • This experience involves children from orphanages and young people who have left them working as support staff. Your participation fee will be used to train the support staff and cover part-time wages. The children are children from orphanages (ages 2-18 who can no longer live with their parents).
