1. Cradle Mountain - Dove Lake - Sheffield
Cradle Mountain - Dove Lake - Sheffield
Depart around 9:00 AM for Cradle Mountain. Located at the northern end of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, it is the most famous hiking route and part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Upon arrival, take the park shuttle up the mountain, followed by a hike. The beautiful Cradle Mountain rests peacefully, reflecting on the calm surface of Dove Lake; this is a spectacular sight and a classic shot for photographers. After the hike, take the shuttle down the mountain and head to Launceston. On the way back, pass through the town of Sheffield, where you can admire the exquisite murals.
**The shuttle bus for going up and down the mountain within the Cradle Mountain scenic area costs 15 AUD per person, which is at your own expense.
2. Swiss Village / Lavender Farm (Dec to Jan) - Cataract Gorge - Ross

Launceston is the second-largest city in Tasmania and a gateway to the north. It features numerous Victorian-style buildings, filled with a historical atmosphere. First, we will drive to the Swiss Village, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the Tamar River, or visit the famous lavender farm (admission fee not included) from December to January. After lunch, drive to the Cataract Gorge Reserve, located just 15 minutes from the city center. There, you will find a suspension bridge built in 1904, beautiful Victorian gardens, the world's longest single-span chairlift across the gorge (optional, at your own expense), and cliffside walking trails. You may also spot rare wild peacocks. In the afternoon, return to Hobart from Launceston, stopping at the town of Ross for sightseeing.
Airport pick-up is not available on the first day; you must choose one of the following for assembly: BEST WESTERN HOTEL / BLUE HILLS MOTEL / CROWN PLAZA HOTEL.
Airport drop-off is available for flights departing from Hobart after 20:00 on the final day.
