Experience the Japanese spirit of "FUMIKOU," which expresses feelings for others through fragrance

Myoenji Temple is located at the foot of Mt. Kotoishi, a famous mountain in Yanai City, and within its grounds is Seikyosodo, a private school run by the monk Getsusei. Here you can experience Japanese culture while feeling the atmosphere of an Edo period building.
・Time required: approximately 40 minutes. ・The following seven experiences are available.
1. Choose a Japanese pattern illustration for your bookmark.
②Color the illustration in your favorite colors using colored pencils.
③Choose your favorite incense scent.
④ Place the selected incense in a small mortar and crush it with a small pestle.
⑤Place the ground incense into the bookmark bag.
⑦ Place the bookmark inside the Japanese-patterned bag containing an explanation of Fumiko and your item is complete.
