- Arrive at Whitehorse International Airport (YXY) and then proceed to Inuvik Airport (YEV)

- Upon your arrival at Inuvik Airport from your originating city, you'll be warmly welcomed by a Tundra North Tours staff member. Your adventure kicks off with the Aklavik Ice Road Tour, where you'll traverse the crystal blue ice road and explore the vast frozen expanse of the Mackenzie Delta. Aklavik, a tranquil community of 600 in the Mackenzie Delta, has a rich history. During your guided town tour, you'll immerse yourself in this heritage
- After your town tour, you'll return along the iconic Aklavik Ice Road to our exclusive Aurora Viewing area
- This unique setting features igloos, illuminated Ice Inukshuks, ice sculptures, and towering traditional teepees. Following this, you'll gather around a campfire to hear traditional stories, sample traditional food and tea, and anticipate the mesmerizing Aurora Borealis dancing in the Arctic sky
- Your cozy personal Igloo will be your home for the night
2 Day
- On the following day, you'll depart, once again traversing the Aklavik Ice Road until you reach the newly constructed Mackenzie Highway
- At the end of this truly stunning drive, you'll arrive in Tuktoyaktuk, situated on the Arctic coastline and boasting numerous attractions, including the Trans Canada Trail and a rich Aboriginal history.
- In Tuktoyaktuk, you'll embark on a town tour to explore all the local monuments. After the town tour, you'll check into your B&B for the evening. Here, you'll savor a personal cultural dinner with local community elders. Following dinner, prepare for another night of Aurora Viewing by a warm fire with hot beverages, this time from atop the frozen Arctic Ocean
3 Day
- After a warm and comfy night at a local B&B, the owner will whip up breakfast. It's time to say goodbye to this unique town, where nights in winter last more than 20 hours
- During the return trip to Inuvik, you'll get an opportunity to witness the world's second-largest Pingo, with the guide providing insights into its formation
- As the tour concludes, you'll carry the blessings of the local Indigenous people back to Inuvik. The shuttle will pass by the Igloo church on the way
- You'll be transported back to Inuvik Airport and then fly back to Whitehorse
