We pitched a simple tent together and had the fun of chopping firewood 😊 The food was really good! The chef was amazing at cooking 👍 Although it rained at night and we couldn't see anything ✨, it still created a different atmosphere. The trail hike takes about 3.5 hours round trip and requires some physical exertion! But seeing the 2500-year-old Mother Tree is well worth it, and we also saw a lot of natural scenery. It's a trail worth trekking through. The guide mouse was also very interesting 👍👍
The driver's familiarity with the route and his driving skills gave us peace of mind, allowing us to enjoy a journey full of surprises. The itinerary for this trip was very fulfilling, making for a very satisfying day.
On the first day, after arriving at the village by private car through the mountains, embark on a 4-5 hour hiking trail through the sacred trees, witnessing firsthand the towering, thousand-year-old red cypress trees (such as the famous "Grandpa Sacred Tree"), and cleansing your mind and body amidst the rich phytoncides and lush green forest. In the evening, check into a mountain village guesthouse and experience the tranquility of the starry night sky and the simple charm of the indigenous tribe. The second day's itinerary continues the cultural and natural exploration, visiting the Zhenxibao Church, built by the Atayal people using only rock and wood, to experience their profound faith and unique indigenous architectural aesthetics; afterwards, walk through the Yulao Viewpoint overlooking the magnificent valley, and visit the Gunkan Rock Suspension Bridge and Neiwan Old Street, bringing this exquisite journey, which combines a phytoncides forest bath with the immersion in Atayal culture, to a perfect end.
