The best times to visit Yokosuka are usually in the spring and summer, when the weather is warm and strawberry picking season is in its prime.

Must-see attractions include Naval Harbor Cruise, Verny Park and Kurihama Flower Country. Cruise at the military port to see the Maritime Self-Defense Force and U.S. Navy ships up close, while Verney Park is a French-style garden suitable for walking or relaxing. Kurihama Flower Country has a huge Godzilla monument and beautiful gardens.
