He was very consistent with showing up whenever we needed him to and brought us to the exact places we were looking for during our trip! He was also very kind and understanding throughout the 2 days we had him. He let us have drinks and snacks in the car also which was very considerate. Lastly, he had to adjust to a sudden schedule change because we wanted to go to a location that wasn’t planned, but he took us there with no trouble! Overall, I couldn’t ask for a better driver, Sun made our two day trip go really smoothly!
It saves a lot of time waiting for buses, changing buses, and walking during the trip. You can chat and confirm attractions on the bus, and sleep whenever you want—it's so convenient!
The travel pass made our journey from Shinjuku to Karuizawa very convenient. We actually had to change trains several times along the way, but the pass was valid for all of them, which was very efficient and economical. We are very grateful to the platform for having such a product that allows us to buy it in advance, plan our trip, and travel with ease.
I was glad the ticket exchange went smoothly. I recommend booking tickets in advance.
Unfortunately, it was raining, but it wasn't crowded so I was able to look around at my leisure.
This time, I joined a Nikko tour from Tokyo Station's Marunouchi North Exit, along with other foreigners, where Japanese was spoken. I was deeply impressed by Lake Chuzenji, and Kegon Falls was also wonderful. In Nikko, our tour guide, Kou, bought tickets for us all at once, so we were able to enter earlier than those traveling independently. The buildings in Nikko are magnificent, and the large cedar trees are breathtaking! To see the "Sleeping Cat" carved into the gate of the East Corridor, you have to climb a long flight of stairs, which can be tough for the elderly. We seniors skipped this part. We had buckwheat galettes and buckwheat ice cream at a cafe where we took a break, and they were delicious. Nikko sightseeing was truly wonderful! It was a refreshing experience! Our tour guide, Kou, guided the multinational participants in both English and Japanese. She explained the history in more detail than I, a Japanese person, could, which I greatly appreciated. Kou ran over to take pictures for us and always spoke to the participants during the tour. She also managed the tour time very well. I was in the front seat, so I could see the driver, Mr. Cho? The driving was also fantastic, which was very impressive. It was a fun and very satisfying tour! ✨
