Seasonal Special | Tateyama Kurobe & Kamikochi 2-Day Tour | Departing from Nagoya | Includes Tateyama Kurobe Transportation
2026/05/27
The overall experience of this 2 days 1 night Tateyama Kurobe tour was very good, although it rained heavily on the first day, it did not affect our satisfaction with the trip at all. On the first day from Nagoya, we took a two-hour drive to Kamikochi. Although the weather was not ideal and the mountain scenery was mostly covered by clouds and fog, it was still very special to walk on the little mountain road to Kamikochi and feel the atmosphere of the mountain pass. The most touching thing is that Mr. Kaku was very attentive, knowing that we couldn't eat the apple pie he recommended because of the heavy rain, and immediately helped us arrange to buy the souvenir version of the tasting, which was very courteous. I stayed at a hot spring hotel that night. After soaking in the hot spring, my fatigue was gone and I had a very good rest. Departing early the next morning for Tateyama Kurobe, taking six types of public transportation along the Alpine route up the mountain, the process itself is already very special. The view of Kurobe Reservoir is very shocking, because we set off early, there are not many tourists, and there are relatively few clouds and fog, so you can see the scenery very clearly all the way. The most memorable must be up to the 2800 meters of snow valley, the whole towering snow wall is really oppressive and shocking, the scene looks like walking into a huge snow-white world. There are also snowy mountain roads to walk next to, looking at the Gokuli Pond in the distance, the lake is frozen, the screen is beautiful, it is worth going. After leaving at 2pm, we took a 4-hour tour bus back to Nagoya. Although it was a bit tiring, the whole trip was arranged smoothly. I would like to express my special thanks to the tour guide Mr. Kaku, in addition to the careful and thoughtful arrangement of the itinerary, he also helped us book a restaurant for Hida beef that night, so that we can end with a good meal. Thank you for making us have a very perfect and memorable trip, highly recommended!

Our tour group departed from Dotonbori, Osaka on May 19th and 20th. Our guide, Hana, was a very gentle and attentive person. She managed the pace perfectly, taking photos for everyone along the way, providing explanations, and arranging delicious dinners at the hotels! The weather was beautifully clear during the trip, and the group members were all very punctual, making for a very smooth itinerary! We returned to Osaka earlier than originally planned, allowing everyone to get some rest. 🥰

Nagoya Bus Tour: Tateyama Snow Corridor Alpine Route
2026/05/24
I was a bit worried before leaving because there weren't many reviews, but the result was very satisfying and great! Transportation & Itinerary 🚌 If you arrive at the meeting point around 6:35 AM on the day of the trip, your reservation will be confirmed, and you will travel by car. The round-trip travel alone takes about 10 hours, but since we stopped at rest areas about 6 times along the way, it wasn't boring or tiring at all, contrary to what I expected! The restrooms at the rest areas were clean, and it was quite fun to look at the food and scenery. Lunch boxes are provided so you can eat neatly in the car during the journey. Local Sightseeing & Attire 🏔️ Upon arrival, you are given about 2 hours of free time, which is sufficient for viewing the snow. I was worried it would be extremely cold before going, but once I actually got there, it was around 13 degrees Celsius, so it wasn't as cold as I thought! It was warm enough to wear just a short-sleeved shirt and a windbreaker. I wore a pullover hoodie and a windbreaker, but I actually felt a bit hot. Almost no one else was dressed thickly either. I don't think you need to worry too much about your clothing. Point to Note 💡 I initially thought it was a full course covering the ropeway, cable car, and Kurobe Dam (I was a bit confused because I saw extra transportation costs when looking at other packages and realized I needed to bring money for that). However, it seems difficult to visit all of those places on a day trip! Since this is a tour focused on specific points (like the snow walls), please keep this in mind so you don't get confused like I did. Even so, it was very fulfilling and fun. I made many great memories taking photos of each other with another solo traveler. I highly recommend it! The staff were also incredibly friendly!

Two-Day Tour of the Magnificent Snow Walls of Tateyama Kurobe | Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route: Daisetsukuni Valley & Hidden Kamikochi (Departing from Nagoya, Japan)
2026/05/11
My Two-Day Trip to Tateyama Kurobe and Kamikochi: Although my trip to Tateyama Kurobe and Kamikochi was only two days, it allowed me to deeply appreciate the charm of the Japanese Northern Alps and experience firsthand how a good guide can make a journey truly unforgettable. Day 1: Exploring the Nature of Kamikochi The journey began in Kamikochi. We met up early in the morning, and our guide, Liu Mei, had already thoughtfully arranged our seats on the tour bus, making us feel at ease. During the bus ride, Ms. Liu provided detailed introductions to the attractions along the way. Upon arriving at Kamikochi, she meticulously explained hiking safety precautions—including what to do if you encounter a black bear and how to use a bell to scare it away. These details made us feel safer while enjoying nature. Ms. Liu prepared two routes for us to choose from, patiently explaining the length, difficulty, and scenic features of each route—she was incredibly attentive. Along the way, she also recommended local delicacies and souvenirs, adding a touch of local enjoyment to the hike. After the hike, we returned to the hotel. Ms. Liu assigned us to our rooms and kindly reminded us of the clothing and equipment needed for the next day, allowing us to prepare in advance. The buffet dinner was plentiful, and the overall process went smoothly, ending the first day with satisfaction and anticipation. Day Two: Tateyama Kurobe – A Magnificent Journey with Six Modes of Transportation. The highlight of the second day was Tateyama Kurobe. We used six different modes of transportation to ascend from Ogisawa Station to Murodo, traversing valleys and mountain ranges. The changing of modes of transportation itself was a unique experience: • The Kanden Tunnel Electric Bus took us into the Kurobe Dam. • The Kurobe Ropeway and hiking allowed us to experience the dam's grandeur up close. • The Tateyama Ropeway and Tunnel Bus connected Daikanbo and Murodo. The most anticipated part was undoubtedly the snow-capped mountains and valleys of Murodo, and the Tateyama Kurobe Great Snow Wall. Unfortunately, the weather was poor that day; snow and dense fog prevented us from seeing the famous snow walls. Our guide, Mr. Liu, sincerely apologized and thanked us for our understanding. Although it was somewhat disappointing, the changes in nature are beyond human control, which only makes us cherish every opportunity for a clear, sunny encounter even more. On the highland bus from Murodo to Bijo-hei, I specifically chose a seat on the right. Just as the tour guide had said, I could capture stunning views of the waterfall and the enormous cedar trees; the scenery was breathtaking. Reflecting on these two days of travel, I truly appreciated the awe-inspiring nature of the landscape and witnessed the value of a professional tour guide. Our guide, Ms. Liu, not only arranged the itinerary smoothly and provided clear explanations, but more importantly, she was attentive and...

Tateyama Kurobe Snow Wall 2026 Festival 1 Day Bus Tour from Nagoya
2026/05/08
We departed from Nagoya at 8:00 AM by tour bus to Murodo. There were two rest stops along the way where you could buy snacks and drinks and use the restrooms. Lunch boxes were provided. Although the journey was long, this day trip was the most convenient if you didn't want to arrange your own transportation and still wanted to visit Murodo. There were also two rest stops on the return trip, and we arrived back at Nagoya Station at approximately 8:30 PM. Thank you to the tour leader and the two drivers!

Our tour guide, Mr. Geng, was very experienced and shared many interesting tidbits of knowledge. He led us very well throughout the trip, clearly explaining the meeting times and even pointing out the best spots for photos. We are very grateful for his company over the two days! The driver was also very friendly and worked very hard! The overall activities were very fulfilling, and we were lucky to have good weather on the day we went up the snow mountain! It was a very satisfying and perfectly timed trip.
