I redeemed 5 items within three days, and luckily encountered a buy-one-get-one-free promotion: 1) Electric eCyc: I encountered this on the road, and the staff were very enthusiastic and helpful. 2) I redeemed a delicious ramen at Ichishoan Ramen. 3) Tenmaya voucher: Unfortunately, the staff didn't understand the redemption process, wasting a lot of time. 4) Kurashiki Bishoujo Amusement Park pass: I didn't figure out the redemption location and had to go to the third place before I could successfully redeem it. 5) Kurashiki Mitsui Outlet 1000 yen and food voucher: Excellent! There weren't many restrictions, and it could be directly used for discounts. In short, this voucher is very cost-effective and worth buying.
After exiting Kurashiki Station, head to the visitor center to exchange your coupons. Each person will receive 10 coupons, each worth one point, which can be redeemed for food, admission fees, etc. The point value varies depending on the merchant, so you can create a combination based on your interests. We received 20 coupons for two people. Since we arrived late, we used them all at the Ohara Old House, which included admission fees, refreshments, and a postcard – very interesting! Note that most shops in the shopping street close around 5 PM.
I used my Okayama Amazing Pass to get a walking pass for the Bishoujo area, plus lots of entrance tickets and food. I even tried making bird-shaped rice cakes by hand. Then I got an Okayama Castle ticket and a soft serve of ice cream. Finally, I used a voucher from the station shopping mall to buy ON running shoes. It was an amazing deal!!
The bus stop isn't located as stated on the KKday website; it's actually just a few dozen meters to the left after exiting JR Kojima Station. The driver timed it perfectly, and the sunset was amazing!
