First of all, thank you so much to KKday for providing such a high-quality Hokkaido day trip. The booking process was simple and convenient, and the departure information was very clear, which made us feel at ease. What surprised us even more was that we were greeted by the same Yamato Travel team in Hokkaido, and it was the same customer service representative who had served us on our previous trip to Okinawa! Meeting a familiar service team again in unfamiliar Hokkaido felt like reuniting with old friends, making the journey feel reassuring from the very beginning. The tour guide was very friendly and professional, not only providing detailed introductions to Hokkaido's attractions, history, and features along the way, but also frequently checking on the needs of the travelers. I accompanied my mother on this trip, and the tour guide took special care of her, reminding her to be careful when getting on and off the bus and proactively assisting with taking photos, ensuring my mother had a wonderful time. We all felt the warmth and attentive service. The itinerary was also quite rich and smooth. Whether it was the dreamy Blue Pond, the colorful Shikisai-no-Oka, or the fragrant Tomita Farm, each attraction had ample time to leisurely enjoy the scenery, take photos, and check in, without any pressure of rushing. The travel time was well-planned, allowing for a relaxed enjoyment of Hokkaido's pastoral scenery. Overall, this was a trip that exceeded our expectations. From KKday's product arrangements and Yamato Travel's hospitality to the professionalism and enthusiasm of our guide, we created wonderful memories. My mother was very happy throughout the trip and constantly praised the guide and customer service. If we ever travel to Hokkaido or Okinawa again, we will definitely choose KKday and Yamato Travel again! Highly recommended for travelers who want to easily enjoy the beauty of Hokkaido!
I'd give it four stars for courtesy. This is a family-friendly trip; those who prefer more Instagram-worthy experiences can skip it. While the flower season hasn't officially started yet, some of the itinerary arrangements were a real shame. Our guide, James, was incredibly funny and humorous, which largely saved the trip. Those hoping for peak bloom at Shikisai-no-Oka should visit after July; while some flowers are in bloom now, it's not worth the trip (by the way, admission is free from October to June). This itinerary could easily include Farm Tomita at the beginning, perhaps even allocating 1.5 hours (lunch + flower viewing), as the flowers are much better there. But perhaps the travel agency had its own considerations… The first stop, the Herb Garden, was simply a rest stop. I personally wouldn't recommend buying anything or eating ice cream there; some items were more expensive than elsewhere, and the lavender ice cream didn't have a lavender flavor. The Green Pool and Whitebeard Waterfall, located in the afternoon, were quite suitable for taking photos—the sunlight wasn't too strong, and the scenery was beautiful. The final lighting ceremony at the Elf Terrace, while a highlight of the tour, was worth it depending on personal preference. Incidentally, some souvenir shops weren't necessarily cheaper than at the airport, which is understandable given the tourist area's higher prices. If budget is a concern, perhaps it's better to just buy everything at the airport duty-free shop. 😅
