Product Info

Embark on a unique, informative, and immersive walk exploring Aboriginal culture in Fremantle. Join your Whadjuk guide and delve into the Moorditj Noongar stories of the ancient Mammong Bidi Whale Pathways in Walyalup.

Step off the tourist trail and onto sacred Country with Steven Jacobs, a proud Whadjuk Noongar man and passionate storyteller who has dedicated his life to sharing the living culture of his people.

This 90-minute walking tour through Walyalup (Fremantle) is unlike anything you'll find in a guidebook or on Google. You'll follow the ancient Mammong Bidi Whale Pathways, tracing routes that Noongar people have walked for tens of thousands of years, while Steven brings the landscape to life with stories, ceremony and deep cultural knowledge passed down through generations.

What makes this experience truly special?

From the moment you're welcomed onto Country at Bathers Beach with a Sand Ceremony, you'll feel the weight and beauty of what it means to connect to this land. You'll hear Dreamtime stories tied to the Whalers Tunnel, learn which native plants were used as bush medicine and food, and take in sweeping views from the Roundhouse Lookout. Steven doesn't just tell history, he shares the side that was never written down, and never Googled.

This is a multi-sensory journey. You'll smell, see, hear and feel Country in a way that leaves a lasting impression long after the tour ends.

The walk covers just 1km of mostly flat ground, finishing near the WA Maritime Museum or, if you're ready to celebrate what you've just experienced, Gage Roads Brewery is steps away.

Whether you're a curious traveller, a history lover or someone who simply wants to understand Australia more deeply, this tour will shift your perspective and leave you with a genuine appreciation of Noongar culture and the people who carry it forward.

Small group sizes ensure an intimate, personal experience. Companion Cards are welcome, and accessibility needs can be accommodated on request.
