Product Info

Sachsenhausen was the model. Opened in 1936 as the prototype for every concentration camp that followed, it housed the SS Inspectorate that planned and ran them all — Auschwitz, Dachau, Buchenwald, Ravensbrück. Most tours walk past that building. We start there.

**Half-day tours of Sachsenhausen are common. Specialist ones are not.**
We give you 3 hours on site with a WWII historian — long enough to cover what most tours rush, including the chapters most leave out entirely. The Soviet special camp that operated here until 1950. The shoe testing track. The internal prison cells where Stalin's son was held. The brothel. The execution facility at Station Z.

**What You Will See:**
You'll begin outside the camp at the SS Inspectorate, the building where the entire Nazi camp system was administered. You'll pass through the “Arbeit Macht Frei” gate at Tower A. You'll walk the shoe testing track where prisoners marched 40km daily. You'll stand at Station Z — the execution trench, the gas chamber, the crematorium. You'll see the Soviet special camp memorial and hear the post-1945 story almost no other tour tells.

**There Is No Right Way to Feel Here:**
Some visitors are moved. Some are angry. Some feel a strange flatness that takes days to make sense of. All of these responses are valid. Our guides don't perform history — they present it, answer questions, and give you space.

Specialist Guide, Small Van: Your guide is a WWII specialist historian — not a generalist city guide.

Maximum 7 guests, van capacity. The smallest guided Sachsenhausen tour from Berlin. Your guide pitches the depth and pace to the group — whether you have read every book on this period or none.
