Elqui Valley from La Serena: A journey full of history, landscapes, and culture, where we'll visit the main attractions of this mystical valley. We'll start with our first stop, the Puclaro Reservoir, where we'll have free time to explore the landscapes and take pictures. We'll then head to the foothills of the Andes Mountains, in the commune of Paihuano, where we'll stop to admire the nature and unique beauty of the Elqui Valley from one of its vantage points.
We'll then visit an organic vineyard, a pioneer in Chile for the production of high-altitude wines. There, we'll tour the winery with a guide who will explain the production process, the aging cellar, and the lagoon, and we'll taste red and white wines. Next, we'll head to a traditional pisco distillery, where we'll also take a tour to learn how pisco is made, step by step. We'll wrap up the tour with a delicious food tasting, perfect for discovering the typical flavors of the Elqui Valley. Once we arrive in Pisco Elqui, we'll stroll through its main square, browse the craft markets, and have lunch at a local restaurant. We'll also visit the Gabriela Mistral Museum in the village of Montegrande, and our sightseeing tour will end with a visit to the town of Vicuña, where we'll have some free time to explore the largest town in the Elqui Valley, its main square, crafts, and culture. During the sightseeing tour, there are several places where you can buy products made with our regional fruit, the Chilean papaya.
