From Cape Town: 5-Day Garden Route & Wildlife & Wine Tour｜South Africa

Day 1: Cape Town – Oudtshoorn

Depart Cape Town at 8:00 AM and begin your scenic journey towards the Wine Route. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you travel through the countryside and along the spectacular Wine Route. Continue towards Oudtshoorn, taking in the beautiful scenery along the way. Proceed to tour Cango Caves. Afternoon, check in and relax for the evening in hotel/lodge in Oudtshoorn area.

Day 2: Botlierskop Game Reserve Safari and Knysna Heads

After breakfast, depart for Botlierskop Game Reserve for an exciting game safari. Enjoy a game drive through the reserve and look out for a variety of African wildlife, including wildebeest, rhino, giraffe, kudu, impala, zebra, warthog, antelope, lions, and many more species. Take in the beautiful landscapes and natural surroundings. After the safari proceed to Knysna Heads for a tour. Overnight in Knysna at Russel Hotel or similar.

Day 3: Robberg Nature Reserve – Hiking & Scenic Walks, and Plettenberg Bay

After breakfast, travel to Robberg Nature Reserve for a day surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Enjoy hiking and scenic walks through the reserve, discovering its diverse landscapes, indigenous vegetation, and peaceful mountain environment. From Robberg Nature Reserve, proceed to the beach in Plettenberg Bay. Relax and tour the area. The day provides an excellent opportunity to experience South Africa’s natural beauty at a relaxed pace. Overnight in Knysna at Russel Hotel or similar.

Day 4: Wilderness Tour

Today, visit the beautiful Cape Agulhas area and explore its scenic surroundings. Enjoy a tour through this picturesque destination, renowned for its natural beauty, forests, waterways, and coastal landscapes. Take time to appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and spectacular scenery. See where the 2 oceans meet and Africa's southernmost point. Proceed to Hermanus to tour the Cliff Path. Overnight at a lodge or hotel in Hermanus.

Day 5: Kleinmond – African Penguins – Wine Tasting – Cape Town

After breakfast, travel tour Hermanus. Then procced to Benguela Cove wine Estate for wine tasting. Then proceed to Betty's Bay for an opportunity to see African penguins and enjoy the coastal scenery. Thereafter, begin the scenic journey back to Cape Town along the whale coast route.
