After pickup from your hotel or meeting point, begin a journey through the history of Buenos Aires. Discover the neighborhoods of Retiro, Palermo, and Recoleta, known for their large green spaces and elegant French-style mansions, symbols of the city’s aristocratic past in the early 20th century. Continuing toward downtown, you will pass along the iconic Avenida 9 de Julio, the Colón Theatre, and the Obelisk.
Next, arrive at Plaza de Mayo, where Buenos Aires was founded in 1580, with a 25-minute stop to admire the Government House, the Cabildo, and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Heading south, explore the historic neighborhoods where tango was born: San Telmo and La Boca. In La Boca, admire the colorful “conventillos” built by Italian immigrants and stroll along the picturesque Caminito Street, with 30 minutes of free time to enjoy its artistic and bohemian atmosphere.
The tour continues to Puerto Madero, the city’s modern waterfront district, completely renovated since the 1990s and famous for its gastronomy and contemporary architecture. At the end of the tour, you may remain in Puerto Madero or be dropped off at selected points in downtown Buenos Aires.
If the boat ride option is selected, the tour ends in La Boca, where you will board a short navigation to Puerto Madero while enjoying panoramic views of Buenos Aires from the Río de la Plata.
During the cruise, you will see green areas such as the Ecological Reserve, impressive skyscrapers, and iconic city landmarks. You may access the upper deck for skyline photos. The navigation lasts approximately 40 minutes and includes an onboard audioguide highlighting the main points of interest.
