Begin your day with a pickup from your accommodation in Belgrade. Head to the Manasija Monastery, a monumental architectural masterpiece built in the early 15th century by Despot Stefan Lazarević, one of Serbia's most intriguing medieval figures.
Marvel at the massive fortification, beautiful paintings, and location in the middle of a beautiful valley. Next, head to the nearby Resava Cave, one of the most famous caves in Serbia, owing to the abundance of cave formations in its interior.
Explore the cave, which is about 2 km long in total, with 800 meters open to visitors. The temperature inside the cave remains constant throughout the year at around 7 degrees, allowing you to cool down quite a bit on hot summer days.
Continue to the Veliki Buk waterfall. Nestled among the hills beneath the Beljanica mountain, this place is well-known for restaurants serving locally grown trout fish and other traditional dishes. Stop for a lunch break.
After lunch, continue your journey toward Krupaja Spring (Krupajsko vrelo), one of the most picturesque and mysterious natural springs in Serbia. Hidden at the foothills of the Beljanica Mountain, this emerald-green karst lake is surrounded by dense forest and peaceful mountain scenery, creating a truly fairytale atmosphere.
Admire the crystal-clear water, which is incredibly cold year-round, and the vivid turquoise color makes it one of the most photogenic spots in the region. Nearby, you will also see the small cave system and a charming watermill, which add to the authenticity and calmness of the area.
After some free time for walking, photos, and enjoying the untouched nature, begin your comfortable drive back toward Belgrade, with arrival in the evening.
