Product Info

Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from one of three central locations in the San Juan metro area. Stop for a quick breakfast or grab snacks and drinks before heading out towards the rainforest. Take the scenic route from San Juan, passing through Piñones, the street food capital of Puerto Rico.

Learn about the island's history as your guide explains the larger history of Loiza, the county it is in. If time permits, visit a cave where the Taínos (the indigenous people of the island) used to hide during Spanish colonization.

Continue on the scenic route through Loiza and enter into Rio Grande. Discover that the rainforest of Puerto Rico actually covers the eastern third of the island. If time permits, visit a private waterfall that has no tourists. This hidden gem features four separate waterfalls, a place to jump from the rocks into an 8-foot deep pool, and is perfect for photos.

After stopping at the private waterfall, head to Las Pailas, one of the top destinations on the island. This waterfall features a rock slide, rope swings, two slides, multiple waterfalls, an area to jump into the water, and places to hike, go bouldering, and picnic. Spend a majority of your time at this location, exploring and enjoying all of the amenities.

After wrapping up at the rockslide waterfall, head to Luquillo Beach, the closest beach to the rainforest. Stop and have a chance to grab some food and drinks from the multitude of restaurants and bars available.

Finally, if time permits, make an additional stop at Playa Fortuna, the beach where the river from the rainforest lets out into the ocean. This secluded neighborhood is generally empty, allowing you to have the beach and the river bank to yourself. Marvel at the view of the peak of the mountain of the rainforest while looking south and see the river. When you turn around, walk out roughly 20 feet to the middle of the delta where the ocean and river water touch.

After the last bit of time at Playa Fortuna, head back to San Juan with drop-off back at one of the three pickup locations.
