  • Know Before You Go: During heavy snowfall, the local authorities may restrict the movement of regular vehicles beyond Tangmarg. In such cases, guests are required to switch to a snow-chained local vehicle from Tangmarg to Gulmarg at an approximate additional cost of INR 2,500 per vehicle, which must be paid directly by the guests on the spot. This is a government-mandated arrangement and beyond the tour operator’s control.
