Just 90 minutes from Christchurch Airport and about a 35 minute drive from Methven, you’ll find wide-open terrain, monster snowfalls and that classic Kiwi hospitality we’re known for. Whether you’re chasing freshies, carving corduroy or kicking back at Opuke Kai with a flat white in hand, Hutt’s the place to be.

  • Mt Hutt is high alpine and exposed. The mountain or access road can close at short notice. Check the snow report before travelling; bookings are weather-dependent.

  • Mt Hutt Access Road is a long, steep, mostly unsealed alpine road. Please carry snow chains and allow extra time (≈1½ hrs from Christchurch, ~40 min from Methven). Transport is not included unless a bus/shuttle add-on is selected.

  • Please wear warm waterproof layers, gloves, hat, goggles/sunglasses, sunscreen (clothing hire is separate).
