Cover serious ground in three days on this East Coast escape from New York, blending history, iconic landmarks, and natural spectacle, with two hotel nights and round-trip transport included.
Day one heads south to Philadelphia, where the country’s story comes to life at Independence National Historical Park, the “most historic square mile in America.” From there you continue to Washington, D.C., with an optional in-depth tour inside the U.S. Capitol and the National Archives, home to the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, plus outside views of the Supreme Court and Library of Congress. Photo stops at the White House and time at the Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Veterans Memorial round out the day.
Day two travels north toward Niagara Falls, with optional stops at the Corning Museum of Glass and, in the warmer months, the gorge trails and waterfalls of Watkins Glen State Park in the Finger Lakes. You reach Niagara by evening for the mandatory in-depth night tour, taking in Goat Island and Luna Island as Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and American Falls glow under colored lights. When fireworks are scheduled, you’ll be there to see them. Overnight is near the falls.
Day three is yours to choose. Add the optional Classic Tour for Whirlpool Park and the Cave of the Winds, finishing in summer with the legendary Maid of the Mist boat ride or in the cooler season with historic Old Fort Niagara State Park, before the drive back to New York.
