Product Info

If Arlington National Cemetery has been on your 'bucket list' of must-do places to visit, consider a walking tour with Washington DC Guild-certified Guide Allen McCbe. He has given more than 500 tours of Arlington in just the past couple of years and is consistently rated 5-star by his guests.

This is a group tour - 1 price covers your entire family or group - up to 15 people. Only up to 2 groups can be booked for each tour.

We will witness the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the powerful Changing of the Guard by the Army's 3rd Infantry Regiment. Learn the history of the cemetery, from forest to plantation to cemetery.

Visit the grave of the 35th president, John F. Kennedy, and his family. See the graves of his three brothers: Bobby, Ted, and Joe Jr.

See the grave of the most decorated hero of WWII, Audie Murphy. Admire the mast of the battleship the USS Maine and the memorials of the space shuttle crews of the Challenger and the Columbia.

See the beautiful mansion, Arlington House, built by the enslaved people of George Washington Custis, the grandson of Martha Washington. We'll visit the grave of the man who laid out the design of Washington DC. Walk past the graves of WWII Tuskegee airmen, visit a Vietnam Veteran instrumental in getting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial built, see the Memorial tribute to the crew of the submarine the USS Thresher. We'll see 'Chaplain's Hill' where many spiritual leaders are laid to rest, visit the group burial grave of a WWII B-24 bomber crew, see the unique 'Canadian Cross' - a gift from Canada as a 'thank you'. We'll visit the 2 equestrian statues on the grounds - one of them for a British officer!

Walk past heroes from all of America's wars and hear the remarkable stories of many of them from your local guide.

The tour stars in the Arlington National Cemetery Welcome Center at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. We meet at a mannequin of an Army bugler in the Welcome Center. You'll find restrooms, water stations, historical displays, benches, and a gift shop in the Center. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before your tour in order to clear the airport-like security at the entrance to the Welcome Center. This is a U.S. Military installation - and you must clear security. Your guide, Allen McCabe, typically wears a black, broad-brimmed hat and will be wearing a lanyard showing his tour guide credentials. The tour finishes back at the Welcome Center. There is a large parking lot at the Welcome Center. Arlington is also served by the Blue Line metro (Arlington stop), or can be walked to from the National Mall by crossing Memorial Bridge behind the Lincoln Memorial.
