Your journey begins where the trek ended. At This Is The Place Heritage Park, you’ll go beyond the history books with an immersive film that brings the pioneer spirit to life. Stand at the base of the massive bronze monument to take in the same panoramic valley views that greeted settlers in 1847. Inside, get up close to the actual wooden handcarts and wagons that crossed 1,000 miles of rugged terrain, and uncover the high-stakes drama of the Mormon Battalion and their complex relationship with the U.S. government.

The Heart of the City: City Creek & Temple Square
We’ll transition from the dusty trail to the refined beauty of downtown. Enjoy a guided stroll through the award-winning City Creek, where a sparkling creek runs right through the center of the city's premier shopping district.

From there, we enter the world-renowned Temple Square. You’ll stand in the shadow of the iconic Salt Lake Temple and step inside the Historic Tabernacle. Marvel at the pioneer engineering of its massive "turtle-back" roof and experience the legendary acoustics that make a pin drop sound like a thunderclap.

Sky-High Views & Sacred Sounds
Next, we visit the massive LDS Conference Center. Depending on the day, you may be treated to the thundering soul of a live 30-minute organ performance. Afterward, we’ll head to the sky-terrace roof—a hidden garden in the clouds—for one of the best photo ops in the entire valley.
