An expert guide will collect you from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or Opera House, setting off at 7 am for an adventure steeped in history and natural splendour.

Your first stop is Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam, where you'll be awestruck by the grandeur of temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the first and second emperors of ancient Vietnam. Feel the echoes of the past resonate around you as you explore this 17th-century wonder. Following this, experience local life firsthand with a leisurely 45-minute cycle around the village. Then, prepare your palate for a buffet lunch featuring an assortment of local foods, including goat meat and fried rice.

The afternoon promises more excitement as you navigate the waters of Tam Coc on a bamboo boat. Marvel at the awe-inspiring caves, verdant rice fields and towering mountains that have earned Tam Coc its title as the 'Halong Bay on land'. Finally, travel by bus to Mua Cave, also known as the Dancing Cave. Here, you can ascend nearly 500 steps to the top of Lying Dragon Moutain, rewarding your efforts with a panoramic view of Tam Coc. As the day draws to a close, you'll return to Hanoi, leaving you with a newfound appreciation for Vietnam's heritage and natural beauty.
