Download this audio‑guided driving tour featuring four routes across Banff townsite and surrounds, Lake Louise and Yoho, the Icefields Parkway and Jasper National Park, with bonus content included.

The Banff tour follows a loop covering key sights and viewpoints in and around the town, combining natural landmarks and man‑made features. It provides a useful introduction to Banff National Park and works well as an orientation for first‑time visitors. Allow at least three hours to complete the drive, with extra time for stops along the way.

The Lake Louise, Moraine, and Yoho tour highlights some of the Canadian Rockies' most recognisable scenery, with mountain landscapes, strikingly coloured lakes and waterfalls. The Bow Valley Parkway between Banff and Lake Louise is driven at a reduced speed and offers opportunities to observe wildlife from a safe distance. This route also leads to the accessible walk at Johnston Canyon.

The Icefields Parkway tour follows one of the world's most scenic mountain roads, passing glaciers, peaks and wide valleys. Audio commentary adds context with stories linked to early mountaineering exploration.

The Jasper National Park tour focuses on sightseeing around the park, using the town of Jasper as a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area.

  • Meeting point description: It's suggested starting your tour from the following National Park entrances: Banff, Yoho, East or West Jasper. However, you can also join the tour at any point along the route and pick up commentary at the next stop.

  • Extra fees to be paid on-site:Entrance fees to Jasper National Park (adult $ 9.80, senior $8.30, youth $ 4.90)

  • Know in advance:This is an audio-guided self-driving tour; there will be no physical person guiding you, nor transportation

  • You'll receive a confirmation email with all the instructions to install the GuideAlong (GyPSy Guide) App and download the tour. It's suggested to download it before your arrival in the location

  • The tour requires a supported mobile device for navigation: an iPhone running iOS 15 or later, an Android device running Android 9 or later, or an iPad/tablet with GPS and cellular service.

  • The app includes individual tours to Banff townsite and surrounds, Lake Louise and Yoho, Icefields Parkway and Jasper National Park, as well as bonus content. It will transition seamlessly between each area and there is no need to download tours separately

  • The recommended minimum time to complete the 4 tour would be 3 days, one for each of the suggested tours in Banff, Lake Louise and Yoho and the Icefields Parkway. Add more days if including Jasper in your itinerary. Ideally a week is a comfortable amount of time to truly explore the Canadian Rockies without having to rush through sections
