Embark on a journey of discovery through Old Town, Alexandria, and pedal your way to the residence of America's first president at Mount Vernon. This experience includes a bicycle hire, unrestricted access to the grounds of Mount Vernon, and a boat ride back to Washington DC. It's an ideal family adventure and equally suited for solo explorers.

To maximise your day, it is suggested that you start early in the morning when the rental shop opens. The boat trip departs from Mount Vernon in the afternoon and docks at Pier 4 on Water Street SW, Washington DC. Alternatively, you have the option to cycle back to the starting point in Alexandria or, for a small additional charge, secure the bicycles at Mount Vernon and arrange your own return transport.
