Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel premium small group tour

Meeting point description: At the bottom of the steps, across the street from the entrance of the Vatican Museums. The steps are located right next to Caffè Vaticano on the corner of Viale Vaticano and Via Tunisi. The closest metro stop is Ottaviano – Musei Vaticani, on Line A. Your coordinators will be wearing blue City Wonders polo shirts or jackets to be easily recognizable. Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the tour starts.(Caffè Vaticano, Viale Vaticano, Rome, Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, Italy)

Accessibility:This tour is not suitable for guests with wheelchairs or any impairments requiring special assistance

Not allowed:The Vatican only permits very small bags and specifically prohibits large bags, tripods, umbrellas, and backpacks. Any such items must be checked into the free luggage storage area

Non-flash photography is permitted throughout the tour, except in the Sistine Chapel, where talking and photography are prohibited

It is not possible to bring strollers or baby carriages

Know in advance:Extra security measures may be implemented, and you may experience delays getting through mandatory security checks. To avoid disruptions or possible denied entry, you are strongly advised to avoid bringing large purses, bags, or backpacks with you

The tour routes are designed to minimise exposure to crowds as much as possible, but be aware that the museums are very busy by nature. Your guide will make sure any delays are minimised and that you get access as quickly as possible

Entrance to the Vatican requires a strict dress code. Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women. The local operator cannot be held responsible for refused entry due to improper dress

The tour operator reserves the right to refuse participation to any guest under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or whose behaviour is disorderly, or poses a threat to other guests or the staff

Please note that in case of unexpected closures of some of the areas inside the venues, the guide may have to modify the itinerary slightly

Access to St. Peter’s Basilica may be unavailable on Wednesday mornings due to the Papal Audience held in St.Peter's Square. The tour itinerary will be adjusted to provide an enhanced experience in the Vatican Museums
