Discover some of the most representative places in Biscay on this half-day excursion from Bilbao, combining a guided visit to the Biscay Suspension Bridge, a stop at the Gaztelugatxe viewpoint, and a Txakoli wine tasting at a local winery.

The experience begins with a visit to the Biscay Suspension Bridge, an iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site. For about an hour, your guide will share the history of this remarkable iron structure, its role in the industrial development of the Bilbao estuary, and how the transporter bridge still connects Portugalete and Getxo today.

The tour then continues to the Gaztelugatxe viewpoint, also known as Dragonstone, one of the most famous scenic spots on the Basque coast. Enjoy a short stop to take in the views and capture photos. Access to the hermitage and full climb is not included, making this stop suitable for all visitors.

Next, visit a local winery to discover Txakoli, the most characteristic wine of the Basque Country. Here, you’ll enjoy a tasting of 2 or 3 wines, depending on the winery and season, while learning about the grape varieties, production methods, and the wine’s close connection to Basque gastronomy.

The tour ends with the return to the meeting point in Bilbao.
