Product Info

Explore the remarkable highlights of Sintra’s UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Landscape. From the historic Royal Palace and charming village center to the wooded hills of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, this journey also includes a taste of traditional Sintra pastries and breathtaking views from Cabo da Roca.

Enjoy a memorable afternoon traveling north from Lisbon to Sintra, a site of outstanding cultural and natural beauty. Visit the Royal Palace, the best-preserved medieval palace in Portugal, located in the heart of Sintra Village. Continuously occupied from the 15th to the late 19th century, it served as the summer residence of Portuguese monarchs. Instantly recognizable by its iconic twin conical chimneys, the palace also boasts an impressive collection of decorative azulejo tiles.

No visit to Sintra is complete without sampling its renowned sweets. Join the locals along a narrow nearby street to the historic Piriquita café. Established in 1862, this beloved pastry shop is famous for its traditional cakes and confections.

The sensory experience continues as we travel through the verdant landscapes of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, heading toward Cabo da Roca (March to October), the westernmost point of mainland Europe, where dramatic cliffs meet the Atlantic Ocean.

Our coastal drive offers stunning ocean views as we pass Guincho Beach, a hotspot for windsurfing, and Boca do Inferno (November to February), a dramatic sea-carved rock formation.

Arriving in Cascais, take in sweeping views across the bay before returning via Estoril, known as the “Portuguese Riviera,” home to Europe’s largest casino and elegant seaside gardens.
