You may have heard of Van Gogh, but what about his sister in law Johanna who dedicated her life to promoting his art after his death. Or Berthe Weill, the first female gallery owner in Paris who took great risks in choosing to promote young emerging avant-garde artist like Pablo Picasso. Alongside these daring women of the art world we will also discover a whole host of eclectic characters from Moulin Rouge cabaret dancers to 19th century revolutionaries.
